What are my Copier/Printer purchase payment options?

United Copiers offers 3 payment options:

  • Rental Finance - Monthly rental payments for your machine(s)
  • Outright Purchase via EFT or Cash
  • Outright Purchase via Credit Card

Rental Finance: You will be required to submit a Rental Credit Application form together with the required supporting documents for the credit vetting process. Once these have been received the credit application process will begin, this takes no longer than 48 hours.

EFT Payments: Upon completion of the purchasing process a Pro Forma invoice will be emailed to you. Once payment has cleared in our account, delivery will take place. For clients who with to make a cash purchase, please speak to one of our consultants who will be happy to assist you with arranging a cash purchase.

Credit Card Payments: Please note this payment option is only available for purchases less than R30 000.00. Upon completion of the purchasing process you will be sent a link from PayFast (our secure online payment portal) where you will be required to input your credit card details and will be charged for the value of the transaction. Once payment has cleared in our PayFast account, delivery will take place.

What does the purchase price of my Office Printer include?

The purchase price includes:

  • The Printer/Photocopier
  • A Plug Point Surge protector
  • Network cable
  • Power cable
  • Delivery in certain areas
  • Start-up toner (for select machines only)

Does your pricing include VAT?

Yes, our outright purchase prices and rental prices all include VAT.

What are the requirements to apply for a rental?

You will need to have a registered company that has been trading for at least two years and company supporting documents including but not limited to; company registration documents, company letterhead, cancelled cheque or bank stamped letter, copy of ID documents of shareholders/directors/members, and Audited Financial Statements or three months bank statements. * Submission of the above documents does not automatically ensure credit approval for a rental application

How is my Multifunction Copier/Printer delivered?

United Copiers delivers and installs printers via our service division delivery fleet throughout South Africa. Our technical teams deliver your photocopiers via our delivery vans, these are followed by our copier technicians who perform the installation and setup of the unit at your premises.

What does the installation entail?

Our installation process includes everything needed to get your office printer running within your organisation.

Installations Includes:

  • Moving the photocopier into the correct location within your premises
  • Installing the unit on your local area network. (LAN)
  • Connecting user's computers to the printer, allowing all users access to the photocopier's functionality. (Max of 5 users, additional users to be loaded to the device over 5 users will be billed at R120 per user unless waivered by United Copiers)
  • Training and demonstrating features of the copiers/printers to users at the premises.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any installation snags before signing off delivery.

Do you offer Service Level Agreements?

Yes, Service Level Agreements are standard with ALL our Multifunction Copiers/Printers, subject to your location, please speak to a consultant about the availability of service in your location should you be located outside of a main South Africa metro. Our Service Level Agreements cover toners, parts, spares, call-outs and servicing of the machines for the duration of your contract. For more information on our SLA's click here

Does the monthly rental amount include maintenance/service?

No, the monthly rental amount advertised is for the cost of the machine rental only. The cost of the service level agreement is charged separately and varies depending on the photocopier and the usage each month.

What quality can I expect from a refurbished photocopier?

All of our refurbished printers go through a thorough refurbishment process by our certified copier technicians and strictly comply with a 38-point checklist, always ensuring the highest quality. We supply thousands of refurbished office copiers and printers to the Southern African market and stand by our quality. We welcome prospective buyers to our showrooms in Gauteng, Western Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal to view our expertly refurbished range of business photocopiers and printers at any time.

Do the refurbished photocopiers come with a warranty?

Yes, all of our refurbished multifunction photocopiers come with a 1-year warranty provided the machine stays within South Africa. The warranty can be extended up to 5 years if a service level agreement is taken with the device.

What rental terms do you offer?

United Copiers offers long term rentals for periods over 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months as well as short term rentals on a day to day and month to month basis. Chat to us if you wish to discuss a customised agreement duration.

Do I own the photocopier at the end of the rental period?

No, ownership remains with the rental finance house at the end of the rental term. Once the rental period has come to an end, it will then switch over to a month to month contract or we can upgrade your printer to a latest model.

What do you mean by monthly print volume?

This is the average number of copies/prints your device prints per month. You can calculate this based on the number of boxes or reams of paper you go through a month. There are generally 500 sheets of paper in a ream and 5 reams in a box so if you were to use 1 box of paper a month, your monthly print volume would be 2 500 copies. We ask this question to get an idea of which device will best suit your organisation’s print needs.

Do I need a Wi-Fi enabled photocopier?

All of our multifunction photocopiers are compatible with wireless networks, however certain photocopiers come enabled as a standard while others will need to be configured. Please enquire with a consultant or via our chat feature for specific advice around wireless printing.

If I choose the wrong machine, can I change the machine?

Yes, we offer a 7 day swop out policy, we do however believe that our expert team of online assistants will be able to guide you to the correct decision, for peace of mind we will offer you a comprehensive swop out policy for any machine. With a corresponding adjustment to the price.

How does your swop out policy work? What are the risks?

Our swop out policy is simple and quick, the way we try to keep all interactions with United Copiers. Within 7 calendar days of installation, should the unit not meet the required needs of your organisation we will swop the unit out with another new unit, agreed upon between yourselves and our expert consultants.

Our goal is to getting you printing as desired, quickly, efficiently and at the desired price.

If its not right we will fix it!

In terms of risks we have tried to design the process to have none. We stock a comprehensive range of the leading copier manufacturers from around the world’s, there is no print environment we cannot service.
